Financial Education & Advice

Divorce can be a very disorienting time requiring life-changing decisions.  Because many people do not have a firm grasp on their household finances, getting personalized financial education and advice is crucial.

When an attorney hires Steve as a Financial Consultant, they may also want him to work with their client 1:1 to provide high impact financial education, analysis, and advice.

In some instances, Steve can also provide a client with short-term post-divorce consulting.  However, he no longer manages money, cannot provide legal advice, and is not a substitute for a long-term financial or tax advisor.

Below are some examples of how he can help:

  • Helping the client gather and interpret relevant financial information

  • Understanding the client's financial position & priorities

  • Identifying needs

  • Providing financial education

  • Financial analysis & explaining the consequences of various settlement options

  • Financial projections including cash flow, taxes, and retirement
